Bio:
Georg Jensen (1866–1935) was a Danish silversmith, sculptor and designer who established his own silversmithy in Copenhagen in 1904. His work combined functional craftsmanship with organic forms and a refined treatment of the silver surface. The early works from his workshop are particularly characteristic of the Danish Arts and Crafts tradition and were instrumental in establishing Georg Jensens international reputation as one of the leading silversmiths of the 20th century.
