Elegant miniature vase in glazed stoneware, designed by Gunnar Nylund for Swedish manufacturer Rörstrand. The vase features a slender, gently curved body with rounded shoulders, a narrow neck and a subtly flared opening. The surface is decorated with a lively, mottled glaze in pale green, turquoise and yellowish tones, creating delicate colour variations. The vase is first quality. Hallmarked.

Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Danish-born Swedish ceramicist and designer who played an important role in the development of Scandinavian stoneware during the 20th century. He worked for Rörstrand, among other manufacturers, and became particularly renowned for his elegant, organic forms and experimental glazes. His ceramic production ranges from small decorative vases to larger sculptural works and is highly sought after by collectors of Scandinavian ceramics today.
