Bio:
Flora Danica is one of the worlds most celebrated and exclusive porcelain services. Production began in 1790 under the direction of Johann Christoph Bayer at the Royal Porcelain Factory in Copenhagen. The decorations are based on botanical illustrations from the monumental Danish publication Flora Danica, issued between 1761 and 1883. Each piece is individually hand-painted with remarkable botanical precision, and many feature elaborate pierced borders and extensive gilding. For centuries, Flora Danica has been associated with royal collections and is regarded as one of the finest achievements in Danish porcelain craftsmanship.
