Round dish in bronze alloy in Art Deco style with a gently raised rim and a silver-coloured mermaid motif in relief at the centre. The surface has a warm, golden tone with patina. Model LB1394X.

Bio:
Just Andersen (1884–1943) was a Danish sculptor, silversmith and designer, born in Godhavn, Greenland. He trained as a decorative sculptor and later studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ sculpture school. In 1918, he founded the Just Andersen company with his wife Alba. He is particularly known for his sculptural functional objects in bronze, pewter and Disko metal, an alloy he developed and named after Disko Bay.
