Beautifully sanded wineglass No. 1 from Holmegaard Glassworks.
The glass appears in the catalog of the factory from 1853 and is described as being sold both undecorated, floral cut and with this wine leaf decoration.
The carved decorations are taken out of production at the beginning of the 1900s, but this wine leaves decoration was discontinued in the 1860s and was one of three versions. A double-running, back-running and this counter-running.
When describing the version, you will always refer to the threads of the grapes.
This version is different due to the pointy leaves, they are lobed.
The glass is with a sanded pontil and is in nice condition.
