Carved wooden figure of the Swiss lion

Enormously well-executed woodcut of Thorvaldsen's Swiss lion from 1821.
On the front, it is engraved with the Roman numerals for 1792, which was the year the Swiss Guard fought on Louis XVI's side during the French Revolution.

The original version is 13 meters long and carved out of a cliff near Lucerne.

The figure is in good condition.
