Victor Magito for Meissen.
The mask is made of "Böttgersteinzeug" and bears a stamped inscription on the back: "Porträtmaske Mary Wigman von Victor Magito" as well as an engraved model number "K 249".
The mask has a hanging device and was designed before 1926. It refers to Mary Wigman, a famous German dancer, and is also part of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, Sculpture Collection, under inventory number ZV 3022.

Mary Wigman (1886–1973) was a pioneering German dancer and choreographer, known as one of the founders of modern dance (Expressionist dance). She developed a unique, expressive dance style that focused on body movements as expressions of emotions and moods. Wigman founded a dance school in Dresden and had a major influence on the development of modern dance in Europe in the 20th century.
