Short biography of Michael Andersen & Søn: Michael Andersen & Søn pottery was founded in the 1890s in Rønne on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, and became known for its wide range of stoneware and faience with both traditional and experimental glazes. The factory made its mark especially in the mid-20th century with modern designs and techniques such as lustre and lava glazes, and its works are today sought after by collectors both nationally and internationally.
