Bio:
Boris O’ Klein (1893–1985) was a French illustrator and printmaker, best known for his series “Dirty Dogs of Paris,” which humorously and often cheekily depicted anthropomorphic dogs in satirical everyday situations. Produced and sold widely as souvenirs in Paris during the 1940s and 1950s, these prints were especially popular among soldiers and tourists, and remain collectible examples of mid-20th century French graphic satire.
