Bio:
Nils Thorsson (1898–1975) was one of Royal Copenhagen’s leading designers. His work ranged from detailed naturalistic decoration to minimalist modern forms. During the 1940s he explored refined glazes inspired by classical Asian ceramics, exemplified by the soft celadon tones seen here.
