Asymmetric bowl, mid-20th century.
Hand-thrown stoneware bowl with a rounded, asymmetric form and a lively hare’s fur glaze in shades of green, blue, and brown. A fine example of Nylund’s organic design language and his refined glaze experiments for Rörstrand.

Origin: Sweden.

Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was one of Rörstrand’s leading designers and ceramic artists. Working with the company from the 1930s to the 1950s, he became known for his modern forms, matte “hare’s fur” glazes, and nature-inspired aesthetics. His works remain among the most iconic pieces of Swedish stoneware design.
