Bio:
Founded in 1710 near Dresden, Meissen is Europe’s oldest porcelain manufactory, renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and quality. During the interwar period, Meissen created a series of naturalistic animal figures, often modelled by leading sculptors. These pieces remain highly collectible for their refined modelling and lifelike expression.
