Bio:
Mari Simmulson was one of Upsala-Ekeby’s leading designers. During the 1950s and 60s she developed an expressive design language characterised by sculptural forms, rich colours and decorative detailing. Her works were produced both in series and in smaller runs, making many models – especially the larger sculptural pieces like this one – highly sought after by collectors today.
