Bio:
Paul Kedelv (1917–1990) was an important Swedish glass designer. He began his career in 1931 at the Orrefors drawing studio under Simon Gate and Edward Hald, later becoming a key figure in mid-century Swedish glass. At Flygfors (1949–1956), he developed the iconic Coquille series, characterised by layered colour glass, flowing organic shapes, and a strong sculptural identity. From 1956 to 1977, he worked at Reijmyre glassworks, and he also designed for Nybrofabrikken in Fröseke and Fåglaviks glassworks. Today, his works are highly sought after for their craftsmanship, distinctive colour treatments, and expressive sculptural forms.
