Elegant “Coquille” bowl in layered art glass with pink and blue interior tones, featuring an organically lifted form encased in clear glass.

Origin: Sweden.
Designer: Paul Kedelv.
Material: Art glass.

Condition: Very good condition with light signs of wear.

Bio:
Paul Kedelv (1917–1990) was a notable Swedish glass designer. He began his career in 1931 as a student at the Orrefors drawing studio, working under masters such as Simon Gate and Edward Hald. From 1949 to 1956, Kedelv worked at Flygfors glassworks, where he developed the iconic “Coquille” designs and worked extensively with overlay glass techniques. Between 1956 and 1977 he was employed at Reijmyre glassworks, and he also designed for Nybrofabrikken in Fröseke and Fåglaviks glassworks. Today, his work is highly valued for its craftsmanship and distinctive organic expression.
