Carl-Harry Stålhane for Rörstrand, large bowl.
Large, low stoneware bowl with a wide, open profile and a subtly raised foot. Finished in a restrained dark glaze with a matte surface that accentuates the clean silhouette and confident proportions. A characteristic example of Carl-Harry Stålhane’s modernist approach at Rörstrand in the mid-20th century, emphasizing material quality and formal clarity.

Bio:
Carl-Harry Stålhane was one of the leading figures of Swedish ceramic modernism and served as artistic director at Rörstrand from the 1950s onward. His work is defined by sculptural forms, subdued glazes, and a refined balance between function and aesthetic presence. Large bowls from this period are today regarded as strong examples of Nordic studio ceramics.
