Bio:
The Ming dragon is a traditional Chinese-inspired motif that has been used on European porcelain since the 18th century. The dragon symbolises supernatural wisdom, the spirit of change and the rhythm of nature and is traditionally associated with the sun, light and the male Yang force. The motif became especially popular in Germany in the 20th century as part of an oriental-inspired decorative tradition.
