Rare porcelain figurine by Dahl Jensen produced in the 1940s.
The figure depicts an elegant woman in traditional costume with finely hand-painted decoration in blue and red tones. Model 1359. First factory quality.

Origin: Denmark.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 19 cm, D. 9 cm.
Period: 1940s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen (1874–1960) was a Danish sculptor and porcelain designer educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He worked as a modeller for Bing & Grøndahl from 1897 to 1925 and later founded the Dahl Jensen Porcelain Factory in Copenhagen. His figurines are known for their naturalistic modelling and refined craftsmanship and are considered among the finest Danish porcelain figures of the first half of the twentieth century.
