Pair of Italian alabaster table lamps, Cerri Nestore, Volterra.
Elegant rectangular table lamps executed in polished alabaster with natural veining in warm cream and brown tones. The bases are designed with a geometric stepped form, giving the lamps a distinctive modernist appearance typical of Italian lighting design from the 1970s. Original Cerri Nestore Volterra sticker preserved underneath.

Bio:
Cerri Nestore operated in Volterra, Tuscany, a town renowned for its centuries-old alabaster carving tradition. During the twentieth century, many Volterra workshops produced decorative and functional objects in alabaster, taking advantage of the stone’s natural translucency, especially for lighting. Pieces from the 1960s and 1970s combine traditional craftsmanship with the clean, geometric forms characteristic of modern Italian design.
