Bio:
Flavio Poli (1900–1984) was an Italian glass designer who worked for Seguso Vetri d’Arte in Murano and became one of the most important figures in modern Murano glass during the mid-20th century. He is particularly known for his elegant sculptural forms and for refining the sommerso technique, in which layers of coloured glass are encased within clear glass. His work was exhibited internationally and received major recognition, including the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale in 1954. Today his designs are considered among the most collectible examples of Murano art glass.
