Meissen, pair of three-light candlesticks.
Impressive and richly modelled porcelain candlesticks with three arms, designed with a naturalistic tree trunk, floral decoration and figural groups featuring putti and satyrs in polychrome glaze. Marked underneath with the Meissen crossed swords.

Origin: Germany.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 36 cm, W. 22 cm.
Period: Mid 19th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
The Meissen porcelain manufactory was established in 1710 and is the oldest porcelain factory in Europe. It is renowned for its technically advanced hard-paste porcelain and highly artistic figural works and decorative objects. The iconic crossed swords mark, introduced in the 1720s, is one of the most recognisable porcelain marks in the world and represents exceptional craftsmanship and quality.
