Sculptural mouth-blown glass vase with a frosted surface and layered horizontal bands in smoky green and grey tones. Elegant organic form with characteristic Venetian glass craftsmanship, attributed to Carlo Scarpa.

Origin: Italy, Murano.
Designer: Carlo Scarpa.
Material: Glass.
Dimensions: H. 21 cm, D. 14 cm.
Period: 1960s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Carlo Scarpa (1906–1978) was an Italian architect and designer, renowned for his work with glass at Venini in Murano from the 1930s to the 1940s. He transformed modern glass design through innovative use of layered colours, surfaces and techniques, and his works are today considered among the most important in Venetian glass.
