White unglazed porcelain reliefs with classical motifs after Bertel Thorvaldsen, executed in fine biscuit with detailed figural decoration and suspension mounts on the reverse. First factory quality.

Origin: Denmark.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: D. 14 cm.
Period: 19 th and 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770–1844) was one of Denmark’s most important sculptors and a leading figure of Neoclassicism. He worked primarily in Rome, producing sculptures inspired by classical antiquity. His works were widely reproduced, including porcelain interpretations by Bing & Grøndahl, who produced biscuit porcelain reliefs based on his designs.
