Bio:
Axel Salto (1889–1961) was a Danish artist, ceramicist and designer. He is especially known for his work in ceramics and porcelain, where his visual language often combined nature-inspired structures, relief effects and a strong sculptural sensibility. His works for Royal Copenhagen are today considered an important contribution to twentieth-century Danish ceramic art.
