Frithiof Berglund (1905–1973) was a Swedish painter connected to the Gothenburg colourist movement, known for its rich chromatic sensibility and lyrical interpretation of everyday subjects. Trained in Gothenburg under influential modernist educators, Berglund specialised in floral compositions, landscapes, and still lifes that emphasized mood and colour relationships over strict realism. His paintings reflect both Scandinavian modernism and French post-impressionist influence, and his work is held in numerous Swedish public collections, securing his reputation as a significant mid-century Swedish artist.
