Founded in 1892, the factory originally produced utilitarian wares such as preserving jars and household ceramics, later expanding into decorative studio pottery. Hegnetslund became known for its robust forms, functional Scandinavian design, and distinctive glazes. The factory remained active until 1991 and is today regarded as part of Denmark’s 20th-century ceramic heritage.
