Bing & Grøndahl was founded in Copenhagen in 1853 by sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl (1820–1880) together with brothers Meyer Hermann Bing (1807–1883) and Jacob Herman Bing (1801–1896). The company gained international acclaim for its artistic porcelain, innovative glazes, and exceptional craftsmanship, particularly around the turn of the century when its production of unique decorative vases became highly collectible.
