Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was one of Finland’s most significant designers and sculptors, internationally acclaimed for his work in glass, ceramics, silver, and industrial design. His creations were often inspired by organic natural forms and Nordic simplicity. For Rosenthal Studio-Line, Wirkkala designed refined porcelain series that combined sculptural elegance with functionalism.
