Bio:
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) was a Finnish-Swedish ceramicist and designer educated at the School of Arts and Crafts in Helsinki. She worked for Upsala Ekeby from 1949 to 1972 and became especially renowned for her imaginative figurines, wall plaques and ceramic works featuring colourful glazes and playful artistic expression, establishing her as a major figure in Swedish mid-century design.
