Wilhelm Kåge for Gustavsberg, large tripod Argenta vase.
Elegant vase model A47 in glazed stoneware with tripod form, turquoise Argenta glaze with silver-inlaid vertical decoration, executed in classic Swedish art deco and functionalist design.

Origin: Sweden.
Designer: Wilhelm Kåge.
Material: Stoneware.

Period: Mid 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was one of Sweden’s most important ceramicists and industrial designers. As artistic director at Gustavsberg from 1917 to 1949, he revolutionised Swedish ceramic design through modern forms and experimental glazes. His Argenta series, introduced in 1930, achieved international recognition for its combination of deep colours, silver decoration and refined modernism.
