Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Swedish-Finnish ceramicist and designer, recognised as one of Scandinavia’s most important ceramic artists of the 20th century. He served as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955, where he created some of the factory’s most iconic stoneware series, often distinguished by organic forms and innovative glazes. His work remains internationally admired for its sculptural quality and technical innovation.
