Decorative set comprising a small vase and a matching bowl in glazed faience. Executed with a vivid marbled glaze in blue, pink, beige and white tones. Both pieces are marked Arabia Finland and represent the experimental glaze artistry of the period.

Bio:
Arabia was founded in Helsinki in 1873 and became Finland’s leading manufacturer of art pottery and domestic ceramics. The company became particularly renowned for its innovative glazes and high level of craftsmanship. During the mid-twentieth century Arabia produced a range of artistic ceramic objects that are today regarded among the most desirable examples of Finnish design.
