Royal Copenhagen set of four commemorative plates.

Collection of four hand-painted porcelain plates decorated with royal monograms and historical motifs in underglaze blue. The plates commemorate various royal events and anniversaries, including the dates 1892, 1897 and 1898. Produced by Royal Copenhagen as first quality.

Origin: Denmark.

Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Royal Copenhagen was founded in Copenhagen in 1775 under royal patronage and is one of Denmark’s most renowned porcelain manufacturers. The company is particularly celebrated for its hand-painted cobalt blue underglaze decoration and exceptional craftsmanship. During the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries Royal Copenhagen produced numerous commemorative and anniversary plates documenting national and royal events, many of which have become highly collectible examples of Danish porcelain today.
