Bio:
Ingvar Olson (1928–2007) was a Swedish painter and conservator based in Gothenburg. He studied at Hovedskous Painting School, the Slöjdföreningen School and the Valand School of Fine Arts, where he developed a strong foundation in both traditional and modern painting. Alongside his artistic career, he worked as a conservator, undertaking restoration projects for the Gothenburg Museum of Art, giving him extensive knowledge of historical painting techniques and materials. His work ranges from landscapes and still lifes to modernist compositions distinguished by confident colour relationships and balanced design. His paintings are represented in the collections of the Gothenburg Museum of Art.
