Wilhelm Kåge for Gustavsberg, set of three pieces. Argenta

Set of three glazed stoneware pieces with silver-plated interiors and a turquoise glaze. Comprising a cylindrical vase, a square container, and a fluted planter. Model designed by Wilhelm Kåge for Gustavsberg.

Origin: Sweden.
Material: Stoneware, silver plating.
Dimensions: H. 5–10 cm, W. 4–6 cm.
Period: 1940s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was one of Swedens most influential ceramic designers and served as artistic director at Gustavsberg from 1917 to 1949. A pioneer of modern Swedish ceramics, he created both functional tableware and highly regarded artistic stoneware. His works are represented in major museum collections and remain among the most sought-after examples of twentieth-century Swedish design.
