Bio:
Cay Ture Nils Anton Cedergren (1913–1977) was a Swedish ceramic artist who trained in Denmark before establishing his pottery workshop on the island of Hven. He worked primarily in chamotte clay but became especially renowned for his distinctive figurative sculptures, notably Ellen and Flickan från Backafall, which are regarded among the most collectible examples of Swedish studio ceramics from the period. After his death, the workshop was continued for several years by his daughter, Lena Cedergren.
