Classic set of four lunch plates in Royal Copenhagens Blue Fluted Plain pattern. Model 1/177 with hand-painted cobalt blue decoration and the characteristic fluted design. Mixed quality, with some first quality and others cancelled with one or two incised lines.

Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 under the royal patronage of Queen Dowager Juliane Marie. The company is internationally renowned for its hand-painted porcelain, especially the Blue Fluted Plain service introduced at the factorys founding. This timeless pattern has become an icon of Danish porcelain design and continues to be produced using traditional handcraft techniques.
