Johan Adolph Kittendorff (1820–1902) was a Danish lithographer, draughtsman and watercolourist and is regarded as an important figure in nineteenth-century Danish graphic art. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, receiving its small silver medal in 1841 and large silver medal in 1849.

In 1850, together with I.W. Tegner, he founded the distinguished lithographic firm I.W. Tegner & Kittendorff. He is particularly known for Billeder efter danske Malere (“Pictures after Danish Painters”), an extensive series of 186 lithographs after works by 133 Danish artists, which played an important role in disseminating Danish art during the nineteenth century.

From 1855 to 1893, Kittendorff taught at the Royal Danish Academy. His oeuvre includes portraits, landscapes, historical subjects, drawings and watercolours, distinguished by technical precision and a refined sense of composition and atmosphere.
