Bio:
Ariel Ben-David, born in Israel in 1942, is an Israeli visual artist and printmaker who studied art in New York. He is particularly known for his signed and numbered graphic works from the second half of the twentieth century. His imagery combines surrealist and modernist elements with figurative subjects, stylised architectural spaces and a restrained, atmospheric palette. Human figures frequently appear isolated within dreamlike, stage-like settings, giving his work a distinctive poetic and enigmatic quality.
