Bio:
Carl Alvar Jonson (1914–1985) was a Swedish painter born in Halmstad. He studied at the Valand School of Art in Gothenburg and worked with subjects including landscapes, still lifes, and abstract compositions. Jonsons work developed from figurative subjects towards a freer modernist language in which colour, rhythm, and expressive brushwork played an increasingly prominent role. His work is represented in Swedish collections
