Bing & Grøndahl was founded in Copenhagen in 1853 by Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl and the brothers Meyer Hermann Bing and Jacob Herman Bing. Offenbach was introduced as a coffee service in 1862 and was later expanded into a dinner service. The service is distinguished by its white porcelain and double gold rim and carries form number 257.
