Bio:
Per Lütken (1916–1998) was a Danish glass artist and a central figure in Danish glass design. He joined Holmegaard Glassworks in 1942 and served as its artistic director until his death. During the 1950s, he developed his characteristic design language of soft, organic forms, allowing the fluid qualities of molten glass to play a decisive role in shaping his work. Over his long career, Lütken designed more than 3,000 different glass objects for Holmegaard and is regarded as one of Denmark’s most significant glass designers.
