Bio:
Grethe Meyer (1918–2008) was a Danish architect and designer, born in Svendborg on 8 April 1918. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in 1947 and established her own studio in 1960. Blue Line was introduced in 1965 and became one of her best-known designs for Royal Copenhagen. Made in faience, the series reflects Meyer’s characteristic focus on function, proportion, stackability and efficient use of space.
