Set of two slender art glass vases with spherical central sections and circular bases, executed respectively in yellow and greyish glass. Both retain their Hyllinge Glassworks labels.

Bio:
Bengt Orup (1916–1996) was a Swedish artist and designer who became an important figure in post-war Swedish glass design. He served as artistic director at Hyllinge Glassworks and designed both functional and art glass, often characterised by clear geometric forms, strong colours and a distinctly modern aesthetic. His glass designs from the Hyllinge period are now sought-after examples of mid-20th-century Swedish design.
