During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Royal Doulton became particularly renowned for its decorative porcelain, elegant tableware and finely detailed hand-painted motifs. In 1901, the company received permission to use the Royal designation. Its historic porcelain is now highly appreciated by collectors of English decorative arts.
