Bio:
Kay Bojesen (1886–1958) was a Danish silversmith and designer. He trained at Georg Jensen and in 1913 opened his own workshop in Copenhagen. From the 1930s he created a series of wooden toy figures, including the zebra from 1935, the royal guards from 1942 and the monkey from 1951, which are now classics of Danish design.
