Faience dish, polar bear, Ditmar Urbach, Czechoslovakia. Art Deco, 1930s. Production number: 2304. Stamped. 1. Quality. H.: 18 cm. L.: 23 cm.
The dish was first produced in 1932 to celebrate the first polar bear, Nora, who came to the zoo in Prague from Circus Karlas.
The dish was produced until 1959 and in the post-war period sold in FDB.
