Beautiful porcelain cup from Austria's porcelain factory, Kaiserlich privileged Porcellain Fabrique.
The set is marked with the factory mark, the Bindenschild, in blue under the glaze and the numbers 36 and 814 on the cup and 69, 814, 91 on the saucer. From 1783 the factory marked their things with the last two digits from the year of production and from the year 1800 the last three digits. It can therefore be deduced that this set is from 1814.
The set is decorated with a dark green background and pansies in gold. These are polished glossy or matte so they reflect in the light.
The cup is heavily gilded on the inside and decorated with butterflies and small twigs with leaves. The handle is shaped like an eagle.
The saucer is worn where the cup stands and has an old chip on the edge - see picture.
The cup is with wear at the bottom of the cup and may have an old repair on the edge. We have illuminated the cup with UV light and can not see any repair, however, it is a bit uneven here. The bottom of the cup has a minimal soft chip.
The factory's brand is often called a beehive but is actually the coat of arms of the Habsburg family who ruled large parts of Europe from the 13th century and 900 years until the First World War.
The cup originates from a private Danish collection of 18th and 19th century porcelain.
