Exner, Johan Julius (1825 - 1910) Denmark: Portrait of Fernando Bolt and wife. Full figures. 17 x 11.5 cm. A pair. He standing with a pipe in his mouth - she with a broom.
Framed: 29.5 x 24.5 cm.
NB: With spots. Accompanying letter on the back of one drawing from the artist to Mr. Fernando Bolt, thanking him for an excellent cake, dated and signed on 1 December 1903.
Emilio Fernando Bolt (born 23 June 1859 in Ayuplihan, Peru) was a pastry chef at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen. He was married to Mathilde Johanne Henriette born Christensen. They were, among other things, parents of the painter N.P Bolt (b: 1886).
