Wheel-thrown stoneware bowl with asymmetrical form and turquoise/green glaze with subtle variegation. Incised signature Friberg, Gustavsberg.
H. 4 cm. D. 7.5 cm.
Condition: Minimal age-related wear.

Bio: Berndt Friberg (1899–1981) was a Swedish ceramic artist and master thrower, associated with the Gustavsberg Studio from 1934. He gained renown for his perfectly proportioned forms and innovative glazes in finely nuanced tones, often referred to as “hare’s fur”. Today, Friberg’s works are among the most sought-after pieces of Nordic studio ceramics.
